The Challenge

Travers Smith required a new website partner at pace.

The firm needed immediate visibility of a platform with limited historical documentation while simultaneously making an important decision regarding the future of its hosting environment. Existing Azure infrastructure was becoming increasingly costly to maintain and required ongoing management effort that no longer aligned with the firm's long-term digital objectives.

During onboarding, several opportunities for improvement were identified, including outdated platform components, deployment inefficiencies and areas where operational risk could be reduced through platform modernisation.

The challenge was clear: quickly establish control of the environment, minimise risk and transition the website onto a modern hosting platform without impacting day-to-day operations.

The Approach

ClerksWell delivered an accelerated onboarding programme designed to establish full visibility of the platform in the shortest possible timeframe.

Our team conducted a technical assessment covering infrastructure, codebase, deployments, integrations and security. Detailed documentation was created, critical risks were identified and a roadmap for future development was established.

Following discovery, ClerksWell recommended migrating the website from Azure to Umbraco Cloud Professional.

The migration included:
