Flowtech is the largest distributor of Fluid Power products within the UK and Ireland. The Flowtech website is crucial to their business as the key revenue driving mechanism.
We were brought in to support their eCommerce solution and compile a roadmap for future improvements.

Flowtech’s digital estate is central to day‑to‑day operations and customer servicing, with multiple integrations across logistics, product data and search. The site needed dependable support and rapid issue resolution, alongside a roadmap of technical improvements that would increase stability, performance and cost efficiency, but without disrupting business as usual.

The Approach

We began with a structured onboarding to achieve full operational confidence from day one. That meant immersing ourselves in Flowtech’s business context, architecture and codebase, mapping the end‑to‑end environment across legacy and new site components and documenting all critical paths (from checkout to customer account functions).

We partnered closely with internal stakeholders and third‑party providers to align on integrations and responsibilities. This included clarifying data flows for the Customer API and Search API, validating non‑functional requirements and agreeing service levels for incident response and change management.
