A Platform That Finally Matches the Brand

Today, Mayfair Prestige has a digital experience worthy of its name. The site is fast, elegant, intuitive and entirely in their control. It supports how they work, showcases their vehicles beautifully and creates the right first impression for clients expecting excellence. 

This is what a modern, luxury digital experience should feel like. And we’re proud to have built it with them. 

The Challenge

When Mayfair Prestige UK approached us, they were already a respected name in luxury automotive sales, known for sourcing rare and high-performance luxury vehicles for a global base of loyal clients. Their physical presence was impeccable and their service, personal and attentive. But their digital presence? It no longer reflected the prestige of the brand. 

 

Their website was still running on Umbraco v.8, a version long out of support. What should have been a dynamic, content rich showcase of stunning vehicles had become a rigid, hard to update platform. Even the smallest change like a new hero banner, an updated offer, a shift in layout, required development work, costing time and money. Weeks could pass before a simple update went live and, in a world, where luxury stock moves fast, that delay mattered. 

 

Performance had also become a real concern. Our benchmarking revealed that the site’s scores were holding the brand back, with desktop performance at 67 and mobile down at 47. For a business built on trust, precision and high end service, a slow experience simply wasn’t good enough.  


The Approach

Our first principle was simple: Mayfair Prestige deserved a site as premium and effortless as the service they deliver. Rather than attempt to patch a legacy system, we made the strategic choice to rebuild the entire experience on Umbraco v.17. This wasn’t just an upgrade - it was a reinvention.The new platform gave us freedom to design, structure and engineer a site tailored to the pace and demands of a luxury automotive brand. But more importantly, it allowed us to create the kind of CMS experience their team had never had before. 

 

Designing a CMS Their Team Would Love 

 

When we began exploring their previous setup, one thing became clear: the website had been working against them. Much of the site was hardcoded. Content was locked away behind development dependencies. Updating almost anything required a ticket. A developer. And patience. So, we built something different. 

We created a truly flexible, component based system where every element, banners, vehicle highlights, page layouts, CTAs, imagery, landing page modules, could be updated instantly, without deployment and without technical support. 

 

A Fresh, Modern Visual Experience 

 

While the project wasn’t a full rebrand, we knew the visual identity needed to evolve. The new UI softens, modernises and elevates the brand. It introduces cleaner layouts, more refined typography and a more immersive way of presenting vehicles - particularly on mobile, where many of their high net worth customers browse first. The result is a site that finally looks like Mayfair Prestige: confident, elegant and polished. 

 

Engineering for Speed, Stability and Search 

 

From day one, performance was a core priority. The original reports highlighted significant issues across image optimisation, blocking resources, JavaScript execution and layout shift. We addressed all of it by engineering the site from the ground up with efficiency in mind:

The Outcome

The impact of the transformation was immediate.  

 

With the new design system, Mayfair Prestige didn’t just gain flexibility, they gained twice the number of designed components compared to their previous site, giving them far richer storytelling capability and far more creative control over how they present vehicles, offers and brand moments. 

 

For the internal team, tasks that once required developers, tickets and long lead times could now be completed in minutes. The shift to a fully component based, Umbraco v.17 powered platform dramatically increased CMS satisfaction, giving the team a sense of freedom and autonomy they had never experienced before.
